WEASA – days two and three
We started off our first formal lecturing days by talking about information and disinformation. We analysed the topic both at a wide level, which allowed us to think the matter through from a philosophical and policy point of view, and through a narrower lens, which gave the chance to explore the nitty-gritty details of digital forensics and verification. Both days consisted of lectures in the morning and workshops in the afternoon, giving participants a chance to apply the knowledge they gained in practice.
But we didn’t focus on formal sessions alone: we also participated in two networking dinners. The first one, an internal WEASA event, gave participants a chance to get to know each other a bit better. The second one, organised in conjunction with the Polish-US Fulbright Commission, allowed WEASA attendees to network with members of a Fulbright study visit to Poland. We listened to a lecture about disinformation and the Western narrative, networked over some great food and wine, and even celebrated two birthdays!
